Mechanical Supervisors - Shutdown Maintenance for Tier 1 Contractor (Pilbara/Casual Work)

We are currently seeking experienced

Mechanical Supervisors to join a Tier 1 contractor delivering large-scale shutdown and maintenance works across multiple Pilbara sites. This is an opportunity to work with one of Australia's leading maintenance teams, supporting critical fixed plant operations in a high-performance environment.

About The Role

As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will lead crews across shutdowns and ongoing maintenance scopes, ensuring delivery is completed safely, efficiently, and to strict Tier 1 standards.

Scope Of Work Includes

  • Fixed plant shutdown execution and maintenance
  • Conveyor systems and skirt adjustments
  • Mechanical change-outs and major component replacements
  • Liner replacements, chute repairs, and structural/steelwork repairs
  • General plant reliability and maintenance activities

  • Week 28 - Mechanical Supervisor
    • Day Shift: 2 July - 11 July
    • MSIC preferred
  • Week 33 - Washdown & Major Shutdown
    • Day Shift: 5 August - 11 August
    • Night Shift: 12 August - 15 August
  • Week 33 - Major Shutdown
    • Day Shift: 15 August - 23 August

Rates & Conditions

  • Day Shift: $80.00 per hour (FLAT)
  • Night Shift: $89.00 per hour (FLAT)
  • 12.5-hour paid shifts (12 hours work + 0.5-hour handover)

Requirements

  • Rio Tinto Inducted
  • Proven experience supervising mechanical teams on Tier 1 shutdowns
  • Strong leadership capability and commitment to safety outcomes
  • Mechanical trade background with fixed plant experience
  • The following WHS competency units (aligned with partial S26 requirements):
    • BSBWHS414 - Contribute to Risk Management
    • BSBWHS411 - Implement and Monitor WHS Policies, Procedures and Programs

Full Section 26 is not required; however, the above units are mandatory.
