Your new role

Join a highly strategic Defence program within Naval/ Maritime capability as a Senior Project Scheduler, supporting the Acquisition branch. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to one of Australia's most significant and complex defence capability programs, working across government and international stakeholders.

you will play a key role in supporting the planning and delivery of the program. You will lead the development and maintenance of integrated schedules while providing high-level advice to support decision-making.

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

  • Develop, maintain, and assure complex program schedules and integrated master schedules
  • Apply advanced scheduling techniques including logic validation, baseline control, and constraint management
  • Monitor critical path, dependencies, and schedule performance
  • Conduct schedule risk analysis (SRA) and identify risks such as float erosion and schedule slippage
  • Produce high-quality reporting, dashboards, and executive briefings
  • Integrate scheduling outputs with risk registers and program controls
  • Support governance forums and provide decision-ready insights to senior stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Defence, ASA, and international industry partners
  • Mentor junior staff and uplift scheduling capability within the team
  • Drive continuous improvement in scheduling practices, tools, and governance

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Senior Project Scheduler within complex, large-scale programs
  • Strong expertise in schedule development, analysis, and performance management
  • Experience with integrated master schedules and advanced scheduling methodologies
  • Ability to provide strategic advice and communicate with senior stakeholders
  • Proven capability in risk-informed scheduling and data-driven decision-making
  • Experience working across government, defence, or large regulated environments
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills across multi-disciplinary and international teams
  • Experience with scheduling tools such as Open Plan Professional (or similar)
  • NV1 Security Clearance (or ability to obtain)
