Salary Range: LGO5 ( $91,374 - $95,366 per annum + superannuation) based on skills, qualifications and experience

About The Role
This role assesses and processes plumbing and drainage applications, and carries out inspections and investigations to ensure compliance with legislation and approval conditions. You will prepare clear reports and work closely with Senior Plumbing Inspectors and the Functional Lead, contributing to a collaborative team that delivers consistent, compliant outcomes across planning and development activities.
We’re seeking an experienced plumbing professional with strong inspection expertise, who can confidently assess complex issues and apply practical, compliant solutions. You will bring sound judgement, clear communication, and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders across the community and government. About You
- Relevant plumbing/drainage licences and endorsements
- Strong knowledge of Plumbing and Drainage Act, regulations, codes and standards
- Working knowledge of related legislation (Local Government, Building, Environmental, Water, WHS)
- Experience investigating plumbing and drainage matters
- Ability to provide technical advice to stakeholders and government agencies
- Ability to interpret legislative updates and industry changes
- Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Good time management and ability to prioritise workloads
- Working knowledge of Council Planning Scheme
- Current Queensland “C” class driver’s licence
