About the Role

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Functional Consultant specialising in Configuration Management, Technical Data, and Publications Development. You will play a key role in supporting large-scale defence capability programs, ensuring effective governance, lifecycle data management, and delivery of technical publications in complex environments.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Australian citizenship with active NV1 AGSVA clearance (NV2 preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience in technical data management and configuration management
  • Experience working within defence or highly regulated environments

Key Responsibilities

  • Configuration & Data Management: Manage technical data, configuration controls, and maintain the Master Technical Data Index (MTDI)
  • Technical Publications: Provide expert advice on technical publications development aligned to S1000D standards
  • Solution Delivery: Support end-to-end delivery of technical data management across capability lifecycle programs
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to legislative, policy, and regulatory frameworks across technical data processes
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with government, industry partners, and internal teams to deliver program outcomes
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage risks related to technical data, engineering, and logistics support
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive improvements in data management practices within Agile/DevSecOps delivery environments

The Successful Candidate

  • Strong experience in configuration management, technical data, or ILS environments
  • Experience within Defence, CASG, or similar complex program environments
  • Understanding of technical publications standards (S1000D preferred)
  • Knowledge of Agile or DevSecOps delivery environments
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk management skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities
  • Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams in high-profile programs
