Contract Manager - Infrastructure and Services

About the role

Lead at scale and make a lasting impact on public transport. In this pivotal role, you’ll oversee the asset management of Transperth and Regional Town Bus Service infrastructure—including busports, stations, depots and ferry facilities—while driving innovative, cost‑effective whole‑of‑life maintenance strategies. You’ll also manage key service contracts across security, ferry services and advertising, ensuring strong governance, compliance and value for money.

You’ll lead the planning and delivery of bus depot developments and other infrastructure, ensuring projects are delivered within approved budgets, agreed timeframes and required standards, while meeting all regulatory and development approval requirements. As a senior leader within the Transperth Regional & School Bus Services Division, you’ll contribute to the strategic direction and performance of critical infrastructure and service contracts, supporting the Public Transport Authority’s business objectives.

We’re seeking a strategic and influential leader with substantial experience in infrastructure delivery, contract and asset management, supported by a relevant tertiary qualification. With strong financial, communication and leadership capability, you’ll inspire teams, drive outcomes and contribute to the Authority’s broader strategic direction.

About You!

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A tertiary qualification in Business or other related discipline.
  • Substantial experience in the development and management of infrastructure delivery projects.
  • Substantial experience in the development and management of infrastructure related and other service contracts that have a significant influence on the achievements of business objectives.
  • Well developed financial management and financial modelling skills.
  • Highly developed leadership and management skills, including the ability to engage and motivate people towards achieving key outcomes.

There is one permanent full-time opportunity available for an immediate start. Applicants assessed as suitable through this process may be used to fill similar vacancies both fixed term and permanent that may arise within the next 12 months.
