You will operate as a senior technical and commercial leader within projects, bringing oversight to design decisions, constructability, and commissioning. You will establish robust governance structures, project plans, risk, safety and reporting frameworks. Lead commercial and technical decision making, and ensure projects meet rigorous safety, cost, schedule, quality and stakeholder expectations.

What You’ll Lead

• Lead the full project lifecycle for major transmission infrastructure, from feasibility and planning through to construction execution and handover.
• Provide technical oversight and engineering judgement across project development and delivery.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high performing project team of up to five professionals, developing capability, alignment and performance to achieve project outcomes.
• Oversee feasibility phase engineering, design, procurement and commercial evaluation to secure final investment decisions.
• Define project scopes, develop delivery timelines, and manage budgets with precision
• Collaborate closely with regional teams, asset managers, and internal SMEs to align delivery with strategy.

What you’ll bring

• Extensive and proven success in engineering and project delivery within the utilities or power generation sector.
• Experience in power station, generation, or network infrastructure projects would be highly regarded.
• Strong commercial and business acumen – capable of building and substantiating complex investment cases.
• Outstanding leadership and team development experience.
• Ability to influence, engage and collaborate with executive stakeholders.
• Deep knowledge of contract management, project governance, and resource planning.
