Advisor, Resilience

• Help strengthen emergency readiness across the department.

• Work with teams across Victoria to improve resilience and preparedness.
• Build practical skills in emergency management, reporting and continuous improvement.
• Fixed-term, full-time role for 6 months, earning $100,894 - $114,476 per year, plus super.

What you will do

As advisor, resilience, you will support emergency management activities across preparedness, response and recovery.

You will help strengthen readiness across the department through planning, training, reporting and continuous improvement.

You will:

• support delivery of important emergency management programs and initiatives
• coordinate practical exercises, training and preparedness activities
• monitor and review department-wide emergency management capability
• analyse outcomes from incidents and exercises to identify key risks and improvement opportunities
• support timely emergency and incident response activities while contributing to policies, guidance and processes.

About you

Relevant tertiary qualifications or experience in emergency management, resilience, risk, governance or a related field are desirable. Experience supporting emergency management activities in complex environments will be highly regarded.

You should also have:

• experience applying emergency management frameworks and planning requirements
• strong analysis and reporting skills to identify risks and improvement actions
• the ability to build positive working relationships across teams and locations
• well-developed problem-solving and project delivery skills.
