About the role
The Community Nursing Clinical Administration Officer provides timely, client-focused administrative support to facilitate smooth service delivery across the program. The role contributes to efficient compliance and alignment with complex funding streams, document management and general administrative tasks that support effective patient flow and quality outcomes. The role will support the Community Nursing program as a whole and may be required to work across all Community Nursing sites. The role may be required to support multiple Barwon Health clinical services depending on service delivery needs. The position will operate according to relevant legislation, Barwon Health policies, programs, and department guidelines.
Key responsibilities
- Provide a central point of contact for clients and carers, delivering information, coordinating referrals and supporting access to appropriate services
- Work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless, high-quality and ongoing client care
- Maintain accurate client documentation, data entry and records in line with information management and privacy requirements
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, reporting, and compliance with organisational policies, procedures and healthcare standards
What we’re looking for
- Experience in customer service
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Computer literacy including use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, TEAMS)
- Capacity to develop sound knowledge of service funding streams and associated referral requirements
- Experience working in a team focused environment
- Victorian Driver’s Licence (Car)
