Primary purpose of the role
The Network Administrator is responsible for the installation, monitoring, patching and maintenance of the organisation’s ICT network and wireless endpoint design which includes configuration of gateway devices, routers, switches, wireless access points.
Immediate Start
6 month contract
2-3 days in office
Location Greenacre - FRNSW Head Office – can work remotely but at least 2-3 days at HO
Key accountabilities
- Assist with network monitoring, patching and analysis, performance tuning, troubleshooting and escalating problems as necessary to maintain network performance to meet user demand.
- Assist with network access, monitoring, control, evaluation, and documentation practices used to secure the organisation’s network.
- Perform operational procedures and tasks reliably and consistently to reduce the risk of unplanned outages.
- Assist with FRNSW internet access gateway Firewalls, Proxy Servers, Reverse Proxy Servers, content filtering, access policies, and high availability.
Key challenges
- Maintain an awareness of network security threats, vulnerabilities and risks associated with network management.
- Take responsibility to resolve requests for support whilst delivering against agreed activities and objectives.
