Advisor

Equitable Philanthropy

Shape the future of giving in Australia

Equitable Philanthropy is a corporate advisory firm specialising in the philanthropy space. Based in Melbourne, we sit at the centre of the philanthropic marketplace, advising both charities and funders across Australia. This dual vantage point is our point of difference and the reason our work carries weight on both sides of the giving relationship. We are growing, and we are looking for a full-time Advisor who wants to do the most interesting work in the sector.

The role

You will work as a team to manage a portfolio of clients, working directly with charity leaders and funders to lift the quality and impact of their fundraising. The work spans fundraising strategies, cases for support, due diligence reports, funder scans, readiness assessments, project business plans, grant applications and donor circle strategies. Every deliverable is produced to a Big Four advisory standard for sophisticated audiences, and you will own your engagements end to end with the support of a close, capable team.

What you will bring

We are looking for someone with strong experience across the consulting landscape – we can teach the fundraising and philanthropy lense, but corporate advisory or consultancy experience would be preferable so that you can advise senior stakeholders with confidence.

You write with clarity and precision, you think strategically about how money moves through the sector, and you are comfortable holding several client relationships at once.

A genuine interest in the not for profit or philanthropic sector is crucial, but we are equally interested in sharp commercial or advisory backgrounds ready to apply that rigour to social impact.

Why Equitable Philanthropy

You will work on substantive, varied engagements rather than a single account, learn the marketplace from both the charity and the funder perspective, and join a firm that holds itself to the highest professional standard while staying genuinely human. This is a full-time, Melbourne-based role.
