About the Position
We are excited to welcome an In-home Therapy Assistant to our Nambour Individual Support Services team! Help us provide specialist, trauma-informed care to vulnerable families, supporting them to build better relationships with their children and implement strategies to help with emotion regulation and boundaries. This role directly contributes to our mission of keeping children safe, healing them from trauma, and helping them lead happy lives.
- Level 4 SCHCADS Award.
- Salary range: $88,100 - $94,792 + Superannuation.
- Full-time, maximum term contract opportunity until 30 June 2027 with possible extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Empower carers and stakeholders through trauma-informed, attachment-based coaching and role-modelling.
- Strengthen and nurture families by fostering secure attachments, creating positive routines, and promoting emotional resilience.
- Drive collaboration with ISS practitioners to align parenting strategies and behaviour support with child development best practices.
- Deliver impactful interventions in homes and communities, guided by therapeutic plans, while championing case plan goals and educational connections.

About You
- Hold a relevant tertiary qualification (social work, human services, allied health) with professional registration (if required), and a membership in a professional association (desirable).
- At least two (2) years’ experience working with children, young people and their families who have been impacted by trauma or have experienced abuse and neglect.
- Eligibility to work in Australia (proof of eligibility required), including holding or obtaining required checks (Working with Children Check or professional exemption).
- Current driver’s licence.
