Your new role

As an APS5 Finance Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the coordination of revenue recovery activities across the organisation. Working within a central finance function, you will help improve financial processes, strengthen data quality and provide insights to support effective decision-making. This is a newly created position driven by increased business demand and will contribute to establishing a more consistent, whole-of-organisation approach to financial management.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support revenue recovery activities, including monitoring budgets, work effort and invoicing processes
  • Maintain and improve timekeeping processes to ensure consistency across programs
  • Standardise and streamline workflows across time capture, reporting and invoicing
  • Develop and maintain a consolidated financial dataset for revenue recovery activities
  • Monitor performance against budgets and provide regular reporting and insights
  • Support end-to-end invoicing processes and ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Provide financial insights and updates to governance forums and stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively across business areas to provide advice and resolve issues
  • Contribute to improved governance, risk management and quality assurance processes
  • Experience in finance, accounting administration or revenue recovery processes

What you'll need to succeed

  • Federal Government experience in Finance, ideally using TechnologyOne
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to validate and interpret data from multiple sources
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate financial information clearly
  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate outcomes
