Electrical Designer / Draftsman

BEC Engineering is a well-established and respected Electrical, Power and Control Systems Engineering Services firm located in Burswood.

With a number of new projects on hand and in the pipeline, BEC is continuing to build out the capacity of our Electrical Design / Drafting team. We are seeking expressions of interest from dynamic electrical designers / draftsperson with solid experience in mining and mineral processing projects.

About The Job

Working directly with a our power systems, electrical and controls teams, you will;

• Deliver electrical design and drafting for a variety of projects.
• Produce Single Line, Schematic, Termination Diagrams, Site Plans, Equipment Layouts, Powerline Routes and Pole Details, as required by the various team.
• Coordinate the drawings for each project, ensuring the accurate recording of revisions and tracking of documents,
• Develop and maintain a drawing register for each project.
• Review and recommend design improvements in consultation with engineers.

What skills and experience should you have ?

• Project design experience, ideally in minerals processing applications.
• Experience in developing Single Line Diagrams, Schematic Diagrams, Termination Diagrams, Equipment Layouts, Site Layouts, Over Head Powerline General Arrangements, Power Line Route Plan, HV Single Line Diagrams, Comms Block Diagram, PLC Schematics & Panel GAs.
• Applicants with mechanical and or structural design experience would be a plus.
• Proven 2D AutoCAD experience is essential, while experience with 3D would be a plus.
• Recent experience with MicroStation is required, while 3D modeling would be beneficial.
• Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize is essential.
• Flexible and adaptable, with ability to transition across projects quickly.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
