Your new role
We have an opportunity for an individual to join our organisation as Manager of the Engagement team on a full-time, permanent ongoing basis. Reporting to the Director Communication & Engagement, the role will lead a dynamic team responsible for developing and delivering engagement and education plans and activities to a wide range of stakeholder groups to help prevent public sector corruption and police misconduct.
The team also works across the organisation to develop prevention/education resources and collaborates on events and engagement activities with other agencies.
Additionally, the Engagement team develops and executes strategic stakeholder engagement strategies that support IBAC's leadership to establish and maintain trusted relationships, improve awareness of IBAC and its role, increase understanding of what constitutes corruption and misconduct and ultimately strengthen integrity across Victoria's public sector.
Duties include:
- Develop targeted stakeholder engagement strategies and manage their implementation to drive achievement of IBAC's strategic objectives.
- Identify opportunities, and provide support, for IBAC's senior leadership, including the Commissioner, Deputy Commissioners, CEO and Executive team, to undertake meaningful and timely engagement with a range of external stakeholders.
- In collaboration with other IBAC business units and stakeholders develop and implement new engagement resources and tools designed to prevent public sector corruption and police misconduct.
- Provide strong and positive people leadership within the Engagement team

About you
We are looking for candidates with the below experience and capabilities:
- Significant experience in a similar role with an emphasis on stakeholder engagement strategies and implementation and people management.
- A solid understanding of stakeholder and community engagement practices and principles.
- A tertiary qualification in a related discipline is essential (e.g.: communications, public policy, etc).
Due to the requirement to attain a Negative Vetting 1 security clearance candidates must be an Australian citizen at the time of application.
