The Australian Digital Health Agency leads the national effort to digitally enable Australia’s health system. We support the delivery of person-centred, connected healthcare through the development and adoption of digital health services and systems. Our work includes managing My Health Record, Electronic prescriptions, and the 1800MEDICARE app, ensuring a healthier future for all Australians through connected healthcare.
Our opportunities
We are seeking clinical safety, and clinical incident management experts to join our clinical safety incident management team.
The recruitment process will fill two APS6 roles – Clinical Incident Lead, and Clinical Safety Lead. Candidates will be assessed for both through a single application.
Combined these opportunities will provide expert advice, analysis, and stakeholder coordination across the full lifecycle of digital health systems.
Responsibilities will include:
- Leading, identifying, assessing, monitoring and mitigating clinical risks.
- Apply clinical expertise to evaluate complex systems and workflows to ensure safe outcomes
- Provide clear executive level advice on clinical safety risks and incident outcomes
- Operating autonomously within Commonwealth frameworks, apply policy, standards and evidence.
What you need
To be successful in either opportunity, you will need to possess the following:
- Registration as a healthcare professional, or ability to maintain a registration as a healthcare professional (essential)
- Demonstrated experience as a healthcare provider with proven capability in undertaking clinical risk management activities is highly desirable.
- Strong technical literacy in digital health systems, including an understanding of relevant standards and their application within clinical workflows, is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing and providing clear executive-level advice and reports is highly desirable

Salary: $101,379 - $114,373 plus 15.4% superannuation, depending on skills and experience.
