Job Description
- Lead end-to-end delivery of IT applications projects, from initiation, planning and design through to execution, go-live and benefits realisation
- Define and drive project scope, timelines, governance frameworks and delivery plans aligned to business outcomes
- Manage and influence senior stakeholders across business and technology, ensuring alignment, engagement and informed decision-making
- Act as the critical link between technical teams and business units, translating requirements into actionable delivery outcomes
- Oversee project risks, issues, dependencies and change management, ensuring proactive mitigation and resolution
- Drive transparent reporting, status updates and executive-level communications
- Ensure solutions are fit-for-purpose, scalable and aligned with operational needs, particularly in workforce / rostering contexts
- Lead cross-functional teams and vendors to deliver outcomes in complex, fast-paced environments
- Conduct reviews of delivery progress, quality and performance, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Senior IT Project Manager Should Have
- Proven experience managing complex IT projects in the transport and distribution sector.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive project success.
- Experience in risk management and problem-solving within technology projects.
- Relevant qualifications in project management or a related field.
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
Highly Regarded
- Experience with rostering, workforce management, or scheduling systems
- Background in operational industries (e.g. transport, energy, logistics, utilities)
- Exposure to large-scale transformation or business improvement programs
