About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, the Project Mine Geologist is responsible for designing and supervising the execution and interpretation of drill programs that add value to existing resources, locating the next viable ore bodies to extend the life of mine for the underground operation.

About You

• Tertiary qualification in Geology or equivalent.
• Strong experience as a geologist within an underground gold mining operation.
• Ability to mentor junior mine geologists and manage a small team.
• Experience with mining software that includes 3D modelling as required for day to day, near term mine planning and geology software packages such as Deswik, Datamine, Leapfrog and Acquire.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with grade control, Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QAQC) sampling and mapping practices, reporting, mine reconciliation, and mining methods, systems and processes.
