Craddock Murray Neumann Lawyers (CMN) is seeking a motivated and ambitious Graduate Law Clerk to join our growing Insolvency & Litigation team in Sydney on a full-time basis.

This opportunity is ideally suited to a recent law graduate, or a candidate currently undertaking Practical Legal Training (PLT), who is eager to gain hands-on experience and establish a successful career in the legal profession.

The role will primarily support our Insolvency practice, one of the firm's key areas of expertise. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of matters, from complex, large-scale litigation to smaller, strategically focused disputes across multiple jurisdictions.

CMN acts for a broad client base, including government departments, major corporations, insolvency practitioners, liquidators and private clients. Our Insolvency team undertakes a wide variety of work, including commercial litigation, debt recovery, drafting complex court documents, and assisting in the preparation of detailed legal advice and submissions.

About the Role

Working closely with our Commercial Litigation and Insolvency teams, you will be involved in:

  • Legal research and preparation of advice
  • Drafting correspondence, court documents and briefs
  • Assisting with litigation matters across various jurisdictions
  • Debt recovery and insolvency-related matters
  • File management and matter administration
  • Liaising with clients, barristers, courts and external stakeholders
  • Attending court appearances, mediations and client conferences
  • Supporting senior lawyers on complex commercial disputes

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Recently completed a Bachelor of Laws (or equivalent qualification)
  • Completing or planning to complete Practical Legal Training (PLT)
  • Strong academic results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
  • A genuine interest in commercial litigation and insolvency law
