Content Creator & Marketing Intern
IRL by Amber
ROLE
We are looking for a Content Creator & Marketing Intern to join the creative team at IRL by Amber. In this role, you will help capture, create, and edit short-form video & photo content across our events, social media channels, and community campaigns.
This role is ideal for someone who loves filming, editing, spotting content moments, and turning real-life experiences into engaging social-first content for platforms like Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn.
COMPANY DESCRIPTION
IRL by Amber is a startup events brand and community, bringing together some of the top minds in tech and startups across APAC. We host events, build community experiences, and create content that connects founders, operators, investors, CXOs, and tech professionals.
This is a hands-on internship where your work will be seen by a real and growing audience across social media, event campaigns, newsletters, and community channels.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Shoot short-form video content at IRL by Amber events, behind-the-scenes moments, team days, founder interviews, and community activations
- Edit Reels, TikToks, LinkedIn videos, event recaps, speaker clips, vox pops, and short-form social content
- Identify strong content moments before, during, and after events
- Create engaging hooks, captions, subtitles, transitions, and pacing for social-first video formats
- Repurpose longer event footage into bite-sized clips for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and community channels
- Work with the team to plan content angles, shot lists, and event coverage ideas
- Stay across short-form content trends, formats, sounds, edits, and creator styles relevant to our brand
- Collaborate with the design, social media, and content team to keep visuals, copy, and tone aligned
- Attend a 20-minute daily stand-up and weekly team check-in
- Manage your own workload and deadlines, communicating proactively if anything needs to shift

- Is confident capturing people, spaces, atmosphere, and candid moments at events
- Takes briefs seriously, asks clarifying questions, and understands the intention behind the content
- Communicates proactively if there is a blocker, rather than waiting until a deadline is missed
- Brings ideas to the table and is genuinely interested in content, events, startups, and community-building
- Receives feedback constructively and iterates with a positive attitude
- Is honest about capacity and manages expectations proactively
