Join a growing ASX-listed leader as our Accounts Payable Team Lead. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in support services, delivering critical financial operations across the group.

This role will be based from our modern Melbourne CBD office across from Southern Cross Station with flexible working arrangements (2 days work from home). Whilst this is being offered as an initial 12-month contract, there is a potential for permanency.

About the role

You will take ownership of the end-to-end AP function, leading a small team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the Accounts Payable subject matter expert, leading service delivery across the group.
  • Overseeing accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal finance policies, procedures and accounting standards.
  • Leading, mentoring and developing the Accounts Payable team, supporting performance and capability uplift.
  • Monitoring and report on AP performance, trends, risks and payment forecasts.
  • Managing supplier relationships and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders.
  • Driving and supporting process improvement initiatives across AP and Transaction Services.
  • Maintaining high standards of data integrity and financial reporting accuracy.

About you

You thrive in a complex high-volume environment, have a passion for mentoring and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the team and across the group.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Prior experience leading an Accounts Payable team in a complex and/or high‑volume environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounts payable processes, controls and compliance.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives would be highly desirable.
  • High level of attention to detail, accuracy and organisational capability.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • SAP financial systems experience.

You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
