Senior Project Manager – Higher Education - Digital Transformation (12-Month Contract)

An exciting opportunity to support a large, complex organisation within the higher education sector who are undergoing a significant digital transformation. We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background in digital project delivery to lead key strategic initiatives within a multi-stakeholder environment.

This role requires a delivery leader who can operate across product, delivery and change, with a proven ability to drive outcomes in complex, fast-paced environments.

About the Role

You will lead two strategically important digital initiatives underpinning the student experience across the organisation’s technology landscape. These programmes are integral to strengthening digital engagement, enhancing capability, and delivering an improved, user-centric experience within a complex, federated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex digital initiatives across multiple workstreams
• Drive alignment between product vision, delivery execution and business outcomes
• Coordinate delivery across Agile, cross-functional and multi-team environments
• Engage and influence stakeholders across a large, decentralised ecosystem
• Establish and manage governance, design authority and operating models
• Lead change, training and adoption to ensure successful implementation
• Maintain strong delivery discipline across scope, risk, budget and timelines
• Clearly articulate delivery progress and outcomes through effective communication and reporting

About You

You are a seasoned Senior Project Manager with a strong track record delivering digital transformation initiatives, ideally within complex higher education institutions or federated organisations.

Key Skills and Experience

• 10+ years’ experience in Project Management, with a strong focus on digital project delivery
• Proven experience delivering platform-based or digital transformation programs
• Experience operating in hybrid roles spanning Project Management, Product and Change
• Ability to navigate high-ambiguity, shared ownership environments
• Prior experience delivering digital student centric projects within the higher education / university sector
