National Key Account Manager - Hospitals | Melbourne

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a growing pharmaceutical organisation with an established presence across Australia and New Zealand.

This newly created role will take ownership of a portfolio of key hospital accounts across Australia, working closely with Directors of Pharmacy, procurement teams and other key healthcare stakeholders. You should be based in Melbourne.

This is a highly strategic commercial position focused on developing long-term customer partnerships, driving launches & portfolio growth, identifying new opportunities and supporting the successful introduction of new products into the hospital market.

Key responsibilities include

  • Managing and growing a portfolio of key public and private hospital accounts
  • Building strong relationships with Directors of Pharmacy, procurement teams and key decision-makers
  • Driving utilisation of an established pharmaceutical portfolio across hospital customers
  • Developing and executing strategic account plans aligned to commercial objectives
  • Identifying opportunities for portfolio expansion within existing accounts
  • Supporting the introduction and uptake of new products
  • Monitoring market dynamics, competitor activity and customer needs
  • Providing commercial insights to support forecasting and business planning
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders across commercial, supply chain and leadership teams

About You

  • Experience in pharmaceutical sales in a hospital setting
  • Strong account management and stakeholder engagement capability
  • A proven ability to influence decision-makers within complex healthcare environments
  • Experience working with hospital customers and institutional accounts
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to identify growth opportunities
  • Strong planning, organisation and territory management skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building capability
