Data & BI Lead

• Leading a small team in the delivery of data solutions

You'll be responsible for setting the direction of the data and reporting landscape while leading a team that delivers insights, platforms and solutions that support decision-making across the organisation.

While this is a leadership position, we're looking for someone who remains technically credible and enjoys staying close to the technology, particularly across data engineering, data modelling and Power BI reporting.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading a team of BI, data and analytics professionals to deliver high-impact outcomes.
• Creating and executing a roadmap for the ongoing development of the organisation's data, reporting and analytics capabilities.
• Working closely with business leaders to identify opportunities where data can improve performance, efficiency and decision-making.
• Championing best practice across reporting, analytics, governance and data quality.
• Overseeing the delivery of new data solutions, platform enhancements and business intelligence initiatives across multiple business functions.
• Helping the organisation maximise the value of its data assets through improved accessibility, insight generation and self-service reporting.
• Exploring emerging technologies, including AI, to enhance reporting, analytics and business processes.
• Building a high-performing team culture focused on collaboration, continuous improvement and delivery excellence.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience leading a data, analytics or business intelligence function.
• Strong hands-on capability across data engineering, data modelling and Power BI development, with the ability to provide technical leadership when required.
• Experience delivering reporting and analytics solutions that create measurable business value.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and partner across all levels of the business.
• A strong understanding of modern data platforms, architecture and enterprise reporting environments.
• The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and problem solving.
• Experience leading teams through change, transformation and capability uplift initiatives.
• A collaborative leadership style with a passion for mentoring and developing people.
