Position Type: Permanent Full Time (9 day fortnight, 36.25 hours/week)
Salary Range: Base Salary $83,385 - $89,379 per annum + super
Location: Dalrymple Road Depot - Garbutt

As a Scheduler with Council, you’ll help keep our maintenance teams organised and working across, all aspects of Arboricultural maintenance or any tree related issue. You’ll schedule work accordingly, making sure crews have the right people, equipment and information to get the job done safely and on time. You’ll also keep work planned and help prioritise urgent requests as they come in.
You’ll work closely with supervisors and other teams, support safe work practices, and help improve how we plan and deliver maintenance. This role is all about staying organised, working with people, and making sure services run smoothly for the community. If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
Qualifications And Experience
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Current “C” class manual driver’s licence.
- Qualification in Business Administration, Planning, Scheduling or equivalent experience in this discipline highly desirable.
- Knowledge of scheduling processes to manage, priorities and allocated tasks with applied logic both in theory and using the scheduling tools.
- Experience in Scheduling procedures, processes, guidelines and business rules.
- Experience in use of Works management and scheduling systems.
- Knowledge of services supplied by a municipal department to support Parks and Open Spaces, Transportation Networks, Drainage Networks and Coastal Infrastructure.
- Understanding of tree maintenance workflows (pruning, removals, stump grinding, inspections).
- Knowledge of tree risk assessment categories (e.g., high‑risk vs routine).
- Ability to communicate with residents and other departments.
