About The Role

The Canteen Assistant is responsible for providing a high-quality food service,

compliance with food safety standards, and customer service to students and

Staff. The Role Is Primarily Responsible For

• Providing a welcoming environment for students and staff
• Providing effective and efficient customer service to staff and students
• Food preparation and handling

Experience

• Experience in food service management/hospitality or a similar role
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, WHS requirements and compliance standards
• Experience in financial management, including cash handling and EFTPOS operations

Essential Criteria

• Current Basic Food Safety Certificate
• NSW Working with Children Check
• Criminal History Check (Newcastle Anglican will consider the relevance of any reported outcomes)
