About The Role
The Canteen Assistant is responsible for providing a high-quality food service,
compliance with food safety standards, and customer service to students and
Staff. The Role Is Primarily Responsible For
- Providing a welcoming environment for students and staff
- Providing effective and efficient customer service to staff and students
- Food preparation and handling

Experience
- Experience in food service management/hospitality or a similar role
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, WHS requirements and compliance standards
- Experience in financial management, including cash handling and EFTPOS operations
Essential Criteria
- Current Basic Food Safety Certificate
- NSW Working with Children Check
- Criminal History Check (Newcastle Anglican will consider the relevance of any reported outcomes)
