Glencore Mount Isa Mines are currently seeking skilled and experienced Raisebore Drillers, to join the Fill and Services team at George Fisher Mine (GFM). This position is residentially based in Mount Isa.

The Role
George Fisher Mine are currently seeking motivated and experienced Raisebore Drillers to join our Fill and Services team. Reporting to the Supervisor – Diamond Drill and Raisebore, this residential role based in Mount Isa will require you to work 7/7 continuous shift roster which allows you to go home each day and enjoy the lifestyle that Mount Isa has to offer. This role requires you to safely and efficiently operate a raisebore drill rig/s for the purpose of both production and non-production drilling.
The successful candidate will be responsible for

Conduct pre-start inspections and maintain housekeeping standards for the raisebore drill rig, worksite, and equipment
Operate and maintain drilling equipment to achieve production targets and KPIs
Accurately follow drill plans to ensure holes are drilled to specified diameter, length, and angle requirements
Complete and audit drilling records, including shift reports, drill logs, and bucket counts
Identify and resolve operational issues and barriers to work in a proactive manner
Adhere to all safety, risk management, and hazard control requirements, including completing daily risk assessments
Ensure compliance with Glencore policies, procedures, standards, and training requirements
Support continuous improvement initiatives and actively participate in training and development programs
Collaborate effectively with service and construction crews as directed by supervisors
Promote and demonstrate company values in all aspects of work
The successful candidate will possess
-
Minimum 5 years' experience in underground mining operations
Relevant Raiseboring Operator, Handheld Equipment Operator, Agitator Truck, Lifting Equipment, and Loader Operator (1300 and 2900) tickets, along with a current Working at Heights certification
Demonstrated history of raisebore drilling (not offsiding), including piloting, reaming and site setup and pack up
Current Australian Manual Driver's Licence
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities
Excellent communication, teamwork, and written record-keeping skills
Flexible, adaptable, and safety-focused, with a high level of attention to detail
Demonstrated willingness to learn new processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
