Primary objective
Undertake objective, accurate and quality-assured data collection, interpretation, analysis and reporting activities to support client
agencies to guide and inform decisions relating to workforce and workforce planning.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Undertake a range of data capture, validation, analysis and reporting of critical workforce datasets to develop and present actionable
data insights.
2. Continue the improvement of data gathering and reporting processes, in particular to increase efficiency and transparency while
ensuring the information requirements of all stakeholders are met.
3. Communicate the impact to the workforce and strategic significance of analytic outcomes to senior stakeholders in easy-to-understand
terms.
4. Collaborate with key client agency and external stakeholders to support the delivery of consistent and accurate workforce insights
with supporting information and reports.
5. Build and maintain key relationships with stakeholders and team members to foster a collaborative, effective and efficient environment
that ensures the delivery of meaningful workforce insight.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated high level organisational and time management skills, with the ability to effectively manage conflicting priorities to
deliver quality services.
2. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the demonstrated ability to provide timely advice and
information and present analysis outcomes in a manner that is easily understood by client, stakeholders, and senior management.
3. Demonstrated experience and contemporary knowledge of operational and strategic HR management and organisational
effectiveness.
4. Well-developed interpersonal skills, client customer focus and high levels of energy to build effective working relationships and
collaborate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
5. Demonstrated ability to consult and document business requirements with clients, and to understand the workforce and technical
concepts to be translated to meaningful analysis outcomes.
6. Strong working knowledge of data and information analysis methodologies, and presentation techniques within a human resources
environment.
7. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of data visualisation and modelling software such as PowerBI, Excel and PowerQuery or ability
to quickly acquire.
8. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates DCDD values of Commitment to service, Innovation, Ethical practice,
Accountability, Impartiality, Diversity and Respect.
Desirable
1. Relevant qualifications in Human Resources, Project Management, Risk Management, IT, or a related field.
