Role based in Parramatta/Sydney with flexible/hybrid working environment.

Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $129,464 to $142,665 + super

Are you a skilled project officer who is solution focused and thrives in dynamic environments? We're looking for a proactive Senior Project Officer to lead complex projects that support strategic outcomes and drive positive change across the organisation.

About the Role

As Senior Project Officer, you’ll manage the full lifecycle of diverse projects and programs of work. You’ll ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and aligned with quality standards and agency methodologies. You will support effective and efficient governance and decision-making forums, while also leading briefs, correspondence and requests for information.

You’ll build strong stakeholder relationships, monitor risks and benefits, and provide expert advice to support evidence-based decision making. You’ll also lead project teams and contribute to continuous improvement across systems, frameworks and planning.

About You

You are experienced in managing complex projects independently and delivering results and skilled in coordinating resources, budgets, and reporting while handling competing priorities.

You are a strong communicator and collaborator with a solution-focused mindset who is effective at stakeholder engagement, problem-solving, and providing strategic advice.

You are passionate about improving systems, processes, and governance frameworks (ideally with DRFA knowledge).

Essential Requirements

Must be a current NSW Government Public Sector employee.

Tertiary qualification and/or relevant knowledge and experience.

The NSW Reconstruction Authority is a statutory corporation and executive agency of the Premier’s Department, that will improve how NSW plans for disasters and ensure that we recover from them faster.

To reduce the severity and impacts of disasters, the NSW Reconstruction Authority will complete critical planning and preparation with communities, businesses and government. When disaster does strike, we will get recovery started swiftly and coordinate reconstruction efforts across agencies, communities and other stakeholders.
