Position Overview

The Head of Technology is a pivotal leadership role reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and

a key Senior Leader.

This role is responsible for shaping and delivering a forward-looking technology and innovation

strategy that extends beyond traditional IT. At client, technology encompasses the full

operational ecosystem, including the systems, tools, and digital capabilities that enable how

work is planned, delivered, monitored, and continuously improved across the organisation.

You will drive the adoption of practical, scalable, and emerging technologies that enhance

safety, productivity, and performance. Working closely with leaders across the business, you will

embed a culture of continuous improvement, and data informed decision making, positioning

technology as a core driver of operational excellence and organisational performance.

In addition, you will provide strategic oversight of core IT services, including infrastructure,

enterprise systems, cybersecurity, and communication platforms, ensuring they are secure,

reliable, and aligned with business priorities.

Position Objectives

  • Oversee the development and execution of company's technology strategy, aligning with

business goals and providing leadership to the IT team.

  • Drive organisational efficiency and effectiveness through the adoption of digital technologies

and initiatives, and artificial intelligence solutions across both corporate and operational deliv-

ery environments.

  • Provide superior leadership and mentorship to foster a culture of change,

collaboration, and technological capability across the entire business.

  • Strengthen technology governance, cybersecurity, and stakeholder engagement to support

sustainable growth and organisational resilience.

Head of Technology - Position Description

Key Responsibilities

Partner with the CEO and Business Unit Leaders to define, evolve, and execute Company's

technology and innovation strategy. Identify, prioritise, and implement digital and emerging

technologies that strengthen operational capability, improve efficiency, and deliver

measurable business value across the organisation.

  • Innovation and Digital Transformation: Elevate the profile of technology within

company; promote a culture where team members view technology as an integral part of their

work and actively seek solutions to enhance service delivery; investigate and proactively

engage with artificial intelligence to enhance business performance across both corporate and

operational environments.

  • Cybersecurity & Risk Management: Develop and implement business-appropriate solutions

to protect company from technology threats that could impact viability or performance;

oversee cybersecurity, data protection, and risk mitigation strategies across the organisation.

  • Team Leadership: Lead the IT Team; providing mentorship, coaching, and development

opportunities; promote professional growth plans; assess and align team capabilities with

organisational goals.

  • Learning & Development: Develop a Company technology learning and development

strategy; deliver proactive coaching and engagement to encourage the use of digital

technologies at all levels of the business.

  • Process & Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance technology

processes, tools, systems, and platforms to improve productivity, scalability, security, and

innovation outcomes; contribute to organisational culture by embedding technology as a driver

of growth and excellence.

  • Stakeholder & Culture Engagement: Partner collaboratively with all business units and the

Senior Leadership Team to align technology initiatives with operational and strategic goals;

support major projects and change initiatives through technology solutions.
