What you will do
As senior facilities officer, you will help manage facilities and accommodation services across the department.
You will support safe, compliant and well-maintained workplaces while providing practical advice and solutions.
You will:
- provide expert advice on facilities services, processes and escalation pathways
- manage critical facilities contracts, security arrangements and maintenance activities
- lead department-wide audit, compliance and emergency preparedness activities
- monitor complex issues, customer requests and planned maintenance communications
- prepare clear reports, briefings and recommendations while supporting service improvements.
About you
A tertiary qualification in engineering, a trade, a related discipline or equivalent experience is highly desirable.
You will have experience in facilities management and the ability to apply and improve local procedures within a government environment.
You should also have:
- strong facilities management knowledge
- sound problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- the ability to build positive working relationships
- a flexible approach and commitment to inclusion.
