PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

Support the strategic and operational business functions by leading a team that maximises the capability of our IT platforms to

collect, analyse and share asset information that delivers optimised asset decision making and management of risk.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The “WHAT” to be delivered

  • Collaborate across the business to ensure that asset management decision making is supported by robust application of asset information and

asset information systems.

  • Collaborate across the business to ensure that strategic corporate objectives are realised through the alignment of targeted business unit plans

that maximise value of corporate systems and asset information.

  • Engage with stakeholders to develop efficient business processes that are well supported by our asset management IT systems.
  • Lead a team of asset professionals through the development of a constructive organisation culture that is flexible, innovative and capable of

delivering great customer outcomes.

  • Keep abreast of policy and roadmaps for our IT systems including enterprise architecture combining this with leading industry asset

management practices to develop innovative technological solutions.

  • Maintain the integrity, quality and completeness of the GIS and the currency of Asset System workflows and integrations.
  • Support asset management decision making and implementation through data analytics and provision of reports to internal and external

stakeholders- including regulatory reliability reports.

  • Identify improvements in network/asset reliability through cause analysis of power reliability incidents.
  • Support provision of asset management information to regulatory authorities including Utilities Commission and Australian Energy Regulator
  • Develop cases for improvements in asset management information systems. Manage project plans and costing for implementation of approved

asset management information system improvement initiatives.

  • Represent asset management and the Power Services business unit in internal forums related to asset data and asset information systems.
  • Support implementation of innovative techniques to leverage AI in asset management decision making within the principles defined by

Enterprise IT.

  • Support, promote and performance manage employees to achieve business plan initiatives and business unit performance standards.
