You will be responsible for welcoming guests and managing check-in and check-out processes, handling reservations, amendments and guest enquiries, coordinating internal and external tour bookings, maintaining accurate guest profiles and records, assisting with luggage handling and valet parking, and supporting the Front Office team in day-to-day operations.

In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to step into a Duty Manager role when required, providing operational leadership, overseeing shifts, and ensuring a seamless guest experience across the hotel. While these shifts are not guaranteed, they offer valuable exposure to leadership responsibilities and hotel operations.

What you'll bring

We’re looking for a hospitality professional who enjoys delivering exceptional service and is ready to step up when needed.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in hotel Front Office or Reservations (ideally as a Guest Services Agent)
  • Previous experience in a Duty Manager or leadership capacity (highly regarded)
  • Strong communication, organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to stay calm, adaptable and positive in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive mindset with the confidence to take ownership when leading shifts
  • Current full manual driver’s licence
  • Valid Tasmanian RSA
  • Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
  • Experience with RMS or similar hotel systems (preferred)
