As the Wardsperson, you will support and assist clinical and other staff with patient care, manual handling and the transportation of patients. This includes, assisting patients to the front of the hospital for private transportation, lifting and turning of patients using appropriate manual handling techniques with use of appropriate equipment, undertaking general patient care duties, renewal of oxygen cylinders and medical gases, mortuary duties, companioning of patients, and cleaning and maintenance of various equipment.

Shellharbour Hospital is a busy acute care facility which provides emergency services, elective surgical services, general medicine, antenatal and primary family health care, satellite renal dialysis, and adolescent and adult mental health services on site.
