Senior HR Advisor / HR Advisor
Riviera Talent Partners
We are partnering with a respected and growing organisation within the financial services sector to appoint an HR Advisor or Senior HR Advisor, depending on the successful candidate’s experience.
This is an excellent opportunity for a capable HR professional to work closely with the business, support leaders and contribute to a developing people function. The role may suit an experienced HR Advisor ready to take the next step, or an established Senior HR Advisor looking for a broad, hands-on role with real business exposure.
The organisation is looking for someone who can come in, add value and bring thoughtful innovation to HR processes, systems, culture and ways of working.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide timely, practical and commercially sound HR advice to managers and employees across a broad range of people matters.
- Support employee relations matters, including performance management, grievances, investigations, absenteeism and workplace issues, in consultation with relevant leaders.
- Coach and guide managers on HR processes, people leadership, policy interpretation and best practice approaches.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, probation, employee changes, payroll compliance and offboarding activities.
- Prepare HR documentation, including employment letters, contracts, performance documentation, policy updates and briefing notes.
- Assist with the interpretation of employment legislation, policies, workplace obligations and compliance requirements, including psychosocial risk obligations.
- Contribute to HR projects across engagement, culture, wellbeing, compliance, HRIS implementation, process improvement and change management.
- Maintain accurate employee records and support HR reporting, payroll data integrity and compliance requirements.
- Build strong relationships across the business and act as a trusted HR contact for leaders and employees.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in an HR Advisor or Senior HR Advisor role.
- Minimum 4–5 years’ experience in a generalist HR capacity.
- Good working knowledge of Australian employment legislation, HR best practice and workplace compliance.
- Strong communication, judgement and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prepare clear, accurate HR documentation.
- Experience with HR reporting, Excel, benchmarking, data analysis or process improvement will be highly regarded.
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Law or a related discipline will be well regarded.
About You
You will be a professional, practical and solutions-focused HR practitioner who can balance employee care with commercial outcomes. You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, confident supporting leaders, and able to bring structure, judgement and care to a broad range of HR matters.
You will have a natural ability to build meaningful relationships, add value beyond day-to-day HR advice, and contribute to continuous improvement across processes, systems and culture.
