Test Lead

A Test Lead is currently required for a 12 months fixed term assignment to perform hands on testing and take on a leadership role in a major digital ERP transformation program This is a pivotal role that sits at the intersection of technical delivery and business readiness. We need an experienced Test Lead who can design the end-to-end test strategy while also rolling up their sleeves to execute testing, coordinate vendor partners, and guide internal subject matter experts (SMEs). You will assure that the solution—including integrations, data migration, and finance processes—is fit for purpose and ready for go-live. Key Accountabilities

• Strategy & Planning: Own the program test strategy and master test plan, covering functional, system integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Hands-on Execution: Translate requirements and design into traceable test conditions and scenarios. You will personally drive testing cycles, from system integration across 15+ systems to complex data migration reconciliation.
• UAT Facilitation: Lead UAT with finance SMEs and business users, including script preparation, tester onboarding, and managing sign-offs.
• Defect Management: Manage the end-to-end defect lifecycle—from logging and triage to root-cause analysis and resolution tracking—ensuring vendors deliver fixes within agreed service levels.
• Vendor & Stakeholder Engagement: Partner closely with implementation partners and internal teams to align testing approaches and ensure quality accountabilities are met.
• Readiness Reporting: Develop metrics and dashboards that provide clear visibility on progress, defect trends, and residual risk to support "Go/No-Go" decisions.
• Mentorship: Support test capability uplift across the team, helping SMEs understand their role in testing while maintaining continuity of business operations.

To be successful, in this position, you will be a highly experienced Test Lead who has led and performed end-to-end testing on large ERP/Transformation programs with financial modules. .

• Finance Knowledge: A solid understanding of finance processes (GL, AP/AR, Assets, Purchasing, Chart of Accounts) is essential, ideally within the public sector or a similarly complex environment.
• Certification: Recognized software testing certification (such as ISTQB) is highly regarded.
• Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of test management and defect-tracking tools, test environment management, and data migration reconciliation (including variance analysis).
• Collaboration: A proactive communicator who can influence stakeholders, facilitate diverse groups of testers, and manage vendor relationships effectively.
• Analytical Mindset: Excellent ability to translate business requirements into test cases and manage project dependencies and testing risks.
