Senior Civil Drafter

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Civil Drafter to join a high-performing Infrastructure and Studies team supporting the delivery of large-scale mining and resources projects.

Roster: 5/2 Perth CBD

Start date: Early to mid July 2026

Duration: approx. 12 months - depending on client requirements

Pay Rate: $65.00 p/h + Super depending on experience

The Role

In this role, you will work closely with engineers, designers, and multidisciplinary project teams to produce high-quality civil drawing packages across all stages of project development-from concept and studies through to execution.

This is an opportunity to contribute to major, complex infrastructure projects while working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with strong technical standards and delivery focus.

Key Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Develop and produce civil engineering drawing packages using Bentley MicroStation
• Set up and manage drawing environments including file structures, references, title blocks, and drawing registers
• Produce coordinated civil drawings including: General arrangements, Earthworks and proposed surface levels, Drainage layouts, Roads, pavements, and surfacing, Services and utilities layouts, Long sections, cross sections, and detail drawings
• Work closely with engineers and designers to interpret mark-ups, models, and specifications
• Manage drawing revisions, numbering, and document control processes in line with project standards
• Integrate survey and geospatial data into drafting deliverables
• Ensure all drawings meet quality, consistency, and project drafting standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet project deadlines and deliverables

Essential Experience

• 8+ years' experience as a Civil Drafter (or similar senior-level role)
• Strong proficiency in Bentley MicroStation
• Proven experience delivering civil drawing packages for mining or major infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of earthworks, roads, drainage, and civil infrastructure design
• Experience working with survey and geospatial data
• Ability to interpret engineering design information and technical mark-ups accurately
• Strong document control experience (drawing registers, revisions, numbering systems)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in multidisciplinary environments
• Experience with BIM, 12d Model, or 3D environments highly regarded
• Diploma in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or related discipline (desirable)
