The Role
This role sits within the newly structured international banking and financial institutions relationships team. The team is responsible for providing cross-border banking, trade finance, and other corporate banking services to large Chinese corporate clients in Australia, leveraging the bank’s extensive network globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Relationship Managers / Directors on client relationship management with large Chinese corporates and financial institutional for their cross-border banking, lending, trade finance needs.
- Provide support in client onboarding due diligence (AML/KYC), documentation (Letter of Credit, Bank Guarantee etc.), business proposal, marketing and transaction administration.
- Monitor transaction progress and provide post-transaction support and reporting.
- Attend client meetings in conjunction with Relationship Manager / Directors.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure efficient service delivery and compliance.
- Support portfolio monitoring and risk management activities.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in the Australian banking industry (could be from front, middle or back office).
- Demonstrated ability to handle a varied task load and produce quality output to support the Relationship Managers in their transactions and client relationships.
- Ability to interact with clients directly in a supporting capacity.
- Updated knowledge of AML/CTF, KYC/CDD requirements.
- Genuinely passionate about learning and building a long-term career in Corporate & Institutional Banking.
- Fluency in spoken and written English & Chinese Mandarin is a must.
