A leading Australian engineering and industrial services provider is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across the Western Australian mining, oil & gas, energy, and resources sectors.
With a strong reputation for delivering specialised maintenance, shutdown, asset integrity, pressure testing, engineering, and project services, this organisation partners with many of Australia’s largest resource companies to improve safety, reliability, and operational performance.
This is a high-impact role for a commercially driven sales professional who thrives on developing relationships, identifying opportunities, and converting prospects into long-term clients.
The Opportunity
Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and expanding existing client relationships throughout Western Australia.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and securing new opportunities across mining, oil & gas, energy, and industrial markets.
- Developing relationships with asset owners, maintenance managers, engineering managers, project teams, and procurement stakeholders.
- Positioning the business as a trusted partner for maintenance, shutdown, project, and asset integrity solutions.
- Managing a pipeline of opportunities from prospecting through to contract award.
- Working closely with operational and technical teams to develop tailored client solutions.
- Monitoring market activity and upcoming projects to identify growth opportunities.
- Representing the business at industry events, client meetings, and site visits.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Proven success in business development, technical sales, or account management within mining, oil & gas, engineering, maintenance, industrial services, or related sectors.
- Strong networks across Western Australia’s resources industry.
- Experience selling service-based solutions rather than transactional products.
- A track record of winning new business and growing strategic accounts.
- Strong commercial, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- The ability to engage with decision-makers from site operations through to executive leadership.
- A proactive, self-motivated, and results-focused approach.
