About the Opportunity
QCG is seeking an experienced Cardiac Sonographer to join our friendly and supportive cardiac imaging team, dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care. As a valued member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in providing comprehensive cardiac imaging and testing services.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform, analyse, and report on a range of cardiac tests, including echocardiograms, exercise stress tests and ambulatory monitoring.
- Working collaboratively with your colleagues to provide professional and compassionate patient-centred care.
- Be actively involved in continuous professional learning and development activities including participating in regular on-site education sessions.
- Provide supervision to work placement students and assist in the professional development of junior sonographers.
- Contribute positively to the overall delivery of our cardiac testing services
We're looking for a sonographer who has
- Current ASAR Accredited Cardiac Sonographer Certificate
- Post qualification experience in cardiac ultrasound, including echocardiograms and ambulatory monitoring (ideally 2+ years)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A friendly, sensitive and professional approach to dealing with patients
- Proven experience in working independently and within a team environment
- Ability to adapt to changing routines and priorities in an efficient and calm manner
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and development
Other requirements for the role
- A valid Australian driver's license and access to a car, as the role will require you to travel between QCG Brisbane sites (St Vincent's, St Andrew's, Mater and Greenslopes Private Hospitals).
