The Opportunity
Surprisingly, most people I speak to have never heard of this FinTech.
But if you have ever received financial advice in Australia, there is a good chance the software behind it was built by them.
65% market share. 13,000+ advisers. A platform so deeply embedded in how the advice industry operates that switching away from it is not a decision firms make lightly.
This is not a startup chasing product-market fit. This is a $125m+ business unit with board funding, a new Group Executive with a product-led mandate, and a clear bet on AI-native capability. The foundation is already there. The opportunity now is to shape what comes next.
What you'll be doing
- Own two of the most strategically important tools on the platform. A life insurance research and comparison capability that has held market leadership for over two decades, and a superannuation modelling tool.
- These are not products finding their footing. They are the industry's source of truth. The work now is evolving them, modernising the experience, and integrating AI-native capability as regulatory and market expectations shift.
- This is domain ownership, not delivery management. Set strategic direction, own the full product lifecycle, lead discovery, and drive outcomes that matter to the market.
- Translate regulatory, actuarial, and advice requirements into clean product decisions, stay ahead of compliance obligations before they land, and partner with Engineering and Design to modernise workflows and improve the adviser experience.
- Work closely with Engineering, Design, Compliance, and external stakeholders, align delivery to OKRs rather than feature throughput, and support go-to-market readiness and iteration based on post-launch performance.
What we're looking for
- This is not a role for someone who has read about life insurance and superannuation. It is for a product builder who has lived and breathed in it.
- Deep domain expertise built from real-time inside the finance and wealth sector, whether in advice, research, product, or platform roles
- A genuine understanding of how advisers use comparison and modelling tools in practice, where the friction is, and what makes a platform trusted as a source of truth
- The ability to take regulatory and actuarial complexity and turn it into clean, defensible product decisions
- A track record of owning significant product real estate and delivering outcomes that moved the needle commercially or competitively
- A collaborator who can work across Engineering, Design, Compliance, and external stakeholders without needing perfect conditions to make progress
- Someone thinking seriously about where AI fits in research and modelling workflows, and what it takes to build for it responsibly in a regulated environment
