IEPro are working with a well-regarded civil contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Project Engineer for a major utilities infrastructure project based north of Brisbane.

This opportunity sits within a contractor known for delivering complex civil infrastructure projects across South East Queensland. With a strong pipeline of secured work and an established site team already in place, the business is seeking a technically capable engineer who can provide day-to-day leadership and drive project outcomes on site.

This role will suit an engineer who enjoys being close to delivery, leading teams, and taking ownership of planning, coordination, and execution.

The Opportunity

As Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of utilities infrastructure works, with a strong focus on pipework, pump stations, and associated civil packages.

Working closely with the Senior Project Manager, you will take ownership of day-to-day site operations, coordinating resources, subcontractors, and project activities to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with programme requirements.

The Role

In this role, you will:

  • Lead day-to-day project delivery activities on site
  • Coordinate utilities, pipework, and pump station construction packages
  • Develop and manage short and medium-term construction programmes
  • Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site resources
  • Review drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies
  • Monitor project costs, variations, and productivity outcomes
  • Ensure safety, quality, and environmental compliance across all activities
  • Provide leadership and support to engineers, supervisors, and site teams
  • Maintain accurate project reporting and forecasting

About You

To succeed, you will bring:

  • Degree qualifications in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Proven experience as a Senior Project Engineer within civil construction
  • Strong background delivering utilities infrastructure projects
  • Experience with pipework, pump stations, and associated civil works highly regarded
  • Strong planning and coordination capability
  • Ability to lead project teams and drive outcomes on site
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of project controls
  • Clear communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience within self-perform environments advantageous, although not essential
