The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and professional Personal Assistant to support one of our busy Partners within the Business Services & Management Accounting team. This role offers a unique opportunity located within a small, close-knit team you will provide an integral role in supporting the partner in a PA capacity, whilst also acting in the capacity of a Team Coordinator in providing administrative support to this small, very busy team.

The role

This position is responsible for providing comprehensive executive and team support to a busy Partner, including:

  • Extensive diary and schedule management
  • Coordinating meetings, travel and logistics
  • Preparing, processing and managing correspondence
  • Managing incoming client calls and emails with professionalism
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders

The role also includes corporate secretarial responsibilities. Experience in this area, or within an accounting or legal environment, will be highly regarded. Tasks include:

  • Preparation and lodgement of ASIC documentation
  • Preparation of annual statements
  • Administration and establishment of new companies
  • Registration of ABN, TFN and GST
  • Assisting with ATO administration and compliance

Your experience and attributes

To be successful in this role, you must have experience within a similar role, ideally within a professional services or accounting environment. You will have a high level of professionalism and enjoy building and developing relationships with clients.

Furthermore, you will have a can-do attitude and display a proactive nature, you will work well under pressure whilst still paying attention to detail and keeping calm and retaining a sense of humour. You will have excellent English verbal and written communication skills. Outstanding organisational capability, time management and problem-solving skills will be required.

The ideal candidate will be a team player, who is happy to be part of the broader business and assist with relief reception coverage, answering telephones and providing support to other members of the PA team as required. You will be adaptable and can work with differing personalities and working styles, whilst providing first class customer service to clients and staff alike.

Experience with ASIC, the ATO Portal or Xero (preferred but not essential).
