Salary

Duty Manager - $46.57 per hour (includes 25% Casual Loading)

Qualified Customer Service Officer (Lifeguard) - $43.09 per hour (includes 25% Casual Loading)

We are looking for skilled and motivated individuals to assist in leading our Leisure Facilities as Casual Duty Managers.

About The Role

As a Duty Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of Latrobe City Council’s leisure facilities, stepping in to lead when a Leisure Facilities Leader is not on duty. You will ensure the smooth running of both indoor and outdoor sites while providing guidance, support, and direction to rostered team members.

This role is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of safety, presentation, and facility operations, while delivering an exceptional customer experience across all venues.

You will work across our three leisure centres—Moe/Newborough, Churchill, and Morwell—as well as our outdoor pools located in Yallourn North and Moe. Flexibility is essential, as shifts are offered across a variety of days and hours including weekends,

Successful applicants will undertake a dual role as both Duty Manager and Qualified Customer Service Officer (Lifeguard). Remuneration will vary in line with the responsibilities of each shift, including whether a Team Leader is rostered.

About You

You will have a commitment to providing excellent customer service and will effectively communicate with to our customers. You will have a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, with experience in cash handling, computer system experience and have a high attention to detail.

As a Duty Manager you will also have the ability to make decision in line with Council’s policies and procedures to ensure safe operations of the facility.

Essential

  • Level 2 First Aid Certificate
  • Current Pool Lifeguard Qualification

Desirable

  • Pool Operation certificate
  • Certificate III or IV in fitness

Successful applicants will be required to apply for and satisfactorily obtain a National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
