Gilbert + Tobin's energy specialists work on market-leading projects and transactions that shape the Australian energy sector. Our team’s mix of experience enables us to advise on a project’s entire lifecycle across all areas of the energy sector, including renewables, oil and gas, power and utilities.

Some of some our recent transactions include:

  • APA on tenure, land access and approvals matters for their power generation and transmission infrastructure in the Pilbara.
  • Ora Banda Mining Ltd on its lithium focused joint venture and mineral sharing arrangements with Wesfarmers Chemicals, Energy & Fertilisers.
  • Salubris Australia Limited on the establishment of its carbon farming business and related land acquisitions and services arrangements.
  • Murujuga Aboriginal Corporation on their agreement making with the Commonwealth, State and Local Government in the Pilbara Region and with Woodside, Rio Tinto, Yara and Perdaman.
  • Infinite Green Energy on the proposed development of green hydrogen projects in Western Australia, New Zealand and Italy.

About you

As our successful candidate you should be able to demonstrate a desire, and the capacity, to work on high profile and technically challenging transactions. You should be an ambitious high performer, looking to work in an environment where your performance will be duly recognised and rewarded accordingly. In addition, you will have:

  • 5 years PQE+
  • Outstanding drafting skills
  • A desire - and the capacity - to work on high profile and technically challenging matters
  • Superior analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with clients
