THE COMPANY
Highbury Executive has been engaged by a private equity-backed manufacturing business experiencing significant growth and transformation. With a strong market position and ambitious growth plans, the business continues to invest in its operations, people and systems to support its next phase of expansion.
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this critical leadership role spans financial reporting, governance, tax compliance, treasury and financial controls. It offers a hands-on opportunity for a technically strong finance professional to influence business performance while building scalable processes and supporting continued growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead all financial reporting activities, including month-end close, statutory reporting, board reporting, management reporting, consolidations and the delivery of accurate and timely financial information.
- Oversee all tax and regulatory compliance obligations, including GST, BAS, FBT, income tax, payroll tax and statutory reporting requirements.
- Drive best-practice financial governance, internal controls, risk management frameworks and external audit processes across the organisation.
- Manage treasury activities, including cash flow forecasting, working capital optimisation, banking relationships and funding requirements.
- Own the fixed asset, inventory and capital expenditure accounting processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance and robust financial controls across manufacturing operations.
- Lead, mentor and develop the finance team while partnering with the CFO and broader leadership team to support strategic decision-making and business growth initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS
- CA or CPA qualified, ideally with Big 4 or reputable mid-tier accounting training.
- Proven experience in a Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager role.
- Strong technical accounting expertise across financial reporting, statutory compliance, tax, financial controls, governance and external audit.
- Experience within manufacturing, industrial or other inventory-intensive environments will be highly regarded.
- Advanced ERP systems experience with a proven track record of improving finance processes, controls and reporting capability.
- Commercially minded leader with the ability to thrive in a high-growth, private equity-backed environment.
