CAPDA Consulting is seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to support National Security capability programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a consolidated master schedule covering all projects or operations, taking into account dependencies, constraints, and resource capacity.
  • Work closely with project managers, functional leads, and stakeholders to gather and clarify project needs, goals, and key milestones.
  • Detect and evaluate risks, issues, and conflicts that could affect the schedule, and establish appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Keep the master schedule current by regularly integrating changes, updates, and necessary revisions.
  • Track project performance against the schedule, highlighting variances and taking proactive action to manage delays or emerging issues.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with project teams to review progress, analyse status, identify constraints, and propose corrective actions.
  • Deliver clear, accurate, and timely reports, dashboards, and visual outputs that convey project status, key metrics, and performance indicators to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Drive ongoing enhancement of scheduling practices, tools, and methodologies to improve effectiveness and precision.
  • Provide training and guidance to project team members on schedule management best practice and compliance.
  • Coordinate with procurement and resource management functions to ensure the schedule is aligned with resource planning and allocation.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong analytical capability, including critical path identification, complex data analysis, and decision support
  • Proficient in scheduling tools (e.g. MS Project, Primavera)
  • Effective communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Highly organised, able to manage competing priorities and multiple workstreams
  • Demonstrated leadership and team influence
  • Solid understanding of PM methodologies and best practice
  • Skilled in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau)
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 security clearance
