Our client is a prominent player in the delivery of major infrastructure projects with a strong pipeline of work across NSW. They are now looking for a Site Engineer to join their team either based in Mudgee or DIDO (Drive in / Drive out) from Sydney, Newcastle, or other locations.
This role is essential to the success of their roads project, ensuring effective project planning, stakeholder management, cost control, QA, HSE and project delivery.
You will ideally have experience working on civil infrastructure projects with either a head contractor background or client-side project management background. You’ll need to have a proven track record in coordinating civil projects, managing multiple priorities, and delivering results in line with project standards and expectations.
Having experience across the construction of roads, utilities, drainage, civil, earthworks etc. would be ideal.
This is a 6-month contract role with the potential to extend. Site based in Mudgee NSW, candidate can live locally or DIDO from Sydney, Newcastle etc. Travell allowance and accommodation provided.
The ideal candidate will have
- Experience as a Site Engineer on a civil infrastructure project
- Strong understanding of construction standards, policies, and codes of practice
- Ideally experience in construction of roads, utilities, drainage, earthworks and civils works.
- Proven ability to identify and mitigate project risks and ensure compliance with contractual obligations
Key Responsibilities include
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-4 + years’ experience.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships with contractors, regulators, and internal teams.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with documentation, reporting, and contract management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex issues and develop practical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proven influencing and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project.
- Must have a driving license
