  • Senior Lecturer in Nursing - Teaching Focused (Level C)
  • Associate Professor in Nursing - Teaching Focused (Level D)

About You

To succeed in this role, you must be a Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration (no conditions) and hold a higher degree (or equivalent) in an area of Nursing or health professional education. You should have experience as a registered nurse with at least five years in a clinical setting. For appointments at Level C or D, demonstrated strong teaching capability, along with experience in unit coordination and flexible course delivery, is required.

Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills are essential. You should also demonstrate a commitment to high-quality education, the ability to collaborate across disciplines, and a willingness to contribute to student support and broader university activities.

About the School

The School of Health within the Faculty of Medicine and Health delivers a comprehensive suite of undergraduate, postgraduate coursework, and research programs, including Community Services, Social Work, Counselling, Mental Health, Public Health (One Health), and Health Management. The Discipline of Nursing is a core pillar of the School, underpinning both undergraduate and postgraduate programs and supporting the preparation of a skilled, adaptable, and practice-ready nursing workforce. It is central to the School's teaching, research, and industry engagement.

The School is supported by a diverse academic workforce, including full-time, part-time, and casual staff, alongside a large network of clinical facilitators working across regional, state, and national health services and private sector organisations, with nursing practice and education forming a significant component of this engagement.
