Acting Teacher of adult beginners

Position Vacant: Tutor / Instructor in Acting for Adults

(Greater Melbourne Locations)

We are looking for a CASUAL or CONTRACTOR Tutor / Instructor to join our team at Darlo Drama Melbourne. The tutor / instructor will deliver Darlo Drama’s Adult Beginners Acting Courses in our various venues across Melbourne. We are currently seeking teachers able to work in the following area:

Docklands, Fitzroy Area, Bayside Area, and St Kilda, as well as further suburban locations in 2027.

The successful applicant must have:

• Training and experience in acting
• Excellent communication skills
• Prior teaching experience
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team
• Transport and willingness to work in a variety of locations in Greater Melbourne

The ideal candidate may also have:

• Previous experience teaching in adult education
• Experience in conducting workshops and training for adults
• Directing experience for stage
• Supervisory or management experience in any sector
• A qualification in adult education (such as a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment)

Pay rates will be based upon the Educational Services (Post-secondary) Award (MA000075) in the classification of Tutor / instructor. Applicants who currently undertake business activities of teaching services through an ABN will be considered for this position as an INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR
