This exciting hybrid, full-time ongoing role within the Capability Development team can be located in Canberra, Melbourne, or Sydney.

Remuneration: The annual salary range for the position is EL1 - $121,755 - $143,202 p.a., plus a generous employer superannuation contribution of 15.4%.

About the opportunity

Reporting to the EL2 Director, People and Culture Strategy, you will hold a key leadership role and lead a team in designing and delivering capability initiatives across the organisation. You will partner with senior leaders to identify capability priorities aligned with organisational outcomes. A core focus of the role is leading the governance and optimisation of the Tribunal’s learning management system (LMS), ensuring strong data, reporting and insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a collaborative and supportive People & Culture branch while shaping learning and capability across the Tribunal.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will bring a combination of strategic learning and development expertise, strong leadership capability and a commitment to using evidence and insights to improve outcomes.

You will have :

  • Strong understanding and demonstrated experience designing and delivering strategic, organisation-wide learning and development programs aligned to APS capability frameworks, and leadership expectations.
  • Proven experience managing and optimising a learning management system, including administration, system governance, reporting, analytics and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to use data and insights (including LMS reporting) to inform decision-making, evaluate program effectiveness and provide evidence-based advice.
  • Strong leadership and strategic capability, with experience leading teams, driving performance and fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration in a dynamic environment.
  • Highly developed stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and communicate complex information clearly and persuasively.

Qualifications

Desirable

  • Tertiary qualifications in Learning and Development, Human Resources or a related discipline.
  • Experience in the APS or similar public sector environment

  • Australian Citizenship
  • Required to undertake an Australian Federal Police Check and a Health Assessment
